After a successful San Francisco Pride in 2017, Comcast CA decided to come back to SF Pride 2018 with an ambitious plan — leveraging the different touch points that Comcast, Xfinity, and NBC Universal had to offer. We were really happy to be working with them as part of their diversity efforts, and before long we were strategizing on a series of podcasts, a live store event, and a perfectly fitting float for the parade.
We just happened to know the best person to help tackle this exciting project: Clexacon-famous Dana Piccoli. We decided on four podcasts leading up to the live event at the Xfinity Store on Geary Street — with the finale recorded live at the event itself.

With the podcast series underway, we began hyping the live store event — bringing Dana Piccoli and special guest Tay Barrett together for a live recording in front of an audience at the Xfinity Store on Geary Street.
Mamma Mia! — On the Streets of SF Pride
On Sunday, Comcast California brought a Mamma Mia–themed float to the SF Pride parade — to every parade watcher's delight. The team, Dana, and the #ILoveGay crew were all there for one of the most joyful Pride weekends on record.
"This is a great example of being authentic for Pride month. We look forward to doing something as spectacular for Pride 2019!"
OUT at Comcast — Pride All Year Long
OUT at Comcast is an LGBTQ+ employee resource group at Comcast locations coast to coast. California launched its chapter on June 22, 2017 — and with the addition of the California chapter, OUT at Comcast has grown to approximately 4,500 members across more than 20 chapters nationwide.
